4 Display Compon ents The high-bright UX GA 1200x1600 AML CD panel is sized to a 541 mm (21.3 in.) display screen. The reset button, LED indicator , and input power and video ports are located on the back of the display . No other user-accessible contr ols are available .

6 Inst alling the Display Controller T o install the controller 1 T urn o your computer and all peripherals. Disconnect all cables from your comput er . Leave the power cor d plugged into the grounded outlet. 2 Remove the computer cov er. 3 Remove any existing graphics car d and video signal cable, if necessary .
7 Conn ecting the Display T o connec t the display 1 Plug one end of the DVI signal cable to the DVI port on the display. Tighten the thumbscrews to secur e the connec tion. 2 Plug the power cord into the pow er connector on the connector plate. 3 Plug the other end of the DVI cable into the video port on the installed controller .
8 Upon restarting your computer system, y ou must log on with administrator privileges. On Windows 2000 syst ems, Ser vice Pack 4 or higher must be installed. T o install the display driver 1 Star t the system. Click Cancel on the F ound New Hardware Wizard dialog box.
9 Use the Display P roper ties dialog to make changes to the video settings or to set up dual-display con guration. T o set the display orientation 1 R ight-click the desktop and select Properties > S ettings. 2 S elect the monitor that you want to change.
10 Handling the Display • Set up your display on a stable, level surface away from an y direc t light or heat source , but near a grounded A C outlet. • Choose a well-ventilated location with an adequate amount of space. Do not block the vents on the back of the display .
11 Use a dry, clean, lint-fr ee cotton cloth to remove sur face dust from the display scr een. Do not use chemically treated dust cloths. T o remove gr ease or organic contaminants, follow this pr ocedure: 1 Disconnec t the power supply fr om the display.
