6 W ARNING Death or serious injury can be caused for users if the following directions are not f ollowed: y Do not leave the product where infants , children, or pets can reach it. They might swallow small components , or their saliva could get into it and cause an explosion due to a short circuit.

8 Checks for GPS Even if the GPS isn't working, video is recorded , but position coordinates and driving speed are not recorded . When used for the rst time, or when the pr od - uct is not used for 3 consecutive days , it will take some time for the GPS to nd the current position.

14 How to Install the BlackV ue Checking Installation Position 1 It is recommended to install it at the back of rear view mirror . Clean any foreign matt er and moisture from the place wher e the product will be installed. Note y Do not install the product where it can interfere with the driver's vi - sion.

16 4 Use the c able clip to organize the pow er cord so that it doesn't interfere with the driver's vision. 5 Adjust the lens angle of the camera. Note y After adjusting the angle of the camera lens, remember the angle of the mounting bracket so that it can be installed at the same angle next time.

Note y If Power Magic (the Ba ttery Discharge Prevention Device) is con - nected, the BlackVue is not turned o .
18 Simple Video Playback Even t Recording 1 If an impact is detected in n ormal or p ark ing mode recording, ev ent recording is started. 2 It records video for 5 seconds bef ore and 55 seconds after the impact. Note y Sensitivity to impact can be adjusted in the BlackVue software con - guration.

20 W atching with a GPS naviga tion Recorded videos can be played back using a GPS na vigation. 1 Insert the provided microSD card into a microSD card r eader . 2 Connect the microSD card reader to the GPS na vigation. 3 Open an application to play back rec orded videos and select the movie you want to play back fr om the removable drive .

22 How to Pla yback using the BlackV ue Application 1 I nstall the BlackVue application and open it in the smar tphone. The BlackVue application can be downloaded fr om the Google Play store and Apple App Store . Note y The BlackVue application can be used with Andr oid 2.
DR500GW-HD 23 Note y If you save the conne ction information when connecting using Wi- Fi, y ou can tap the Wi-F i button in the BlackVue applica tion to con - nect it without turning on the Wi-F i func tion of the smartphone. y The initial password is blackvue , but the user can change it.
24 How to use the BlackV ue S oftware Installation & Execution How to Install Dedicated BlackVue software can be installed in a PC. 1 Insert the provided microSD card into a microSD card r eader . 2 Connect the microSD card reader to the PC. 3 Execute the 'BlackV ueSetup(HD).

28 Magnifying Glass Some parts of a recorded video can be zoomed in while playing back. Left-click the screen while a recorded video is being play ed back to see a partial zoom-in window and to use it to identify the number plate of a car while moving it .
DR500GW-HD 29 How to Manage F iles With the recor ded video list, a file can be deleted or saved with a diff erent name. 1 Select a le from the recorded video list and right-click it. 2 T o delete a le, click Delete . 3 T o save it with dierent name, click Export and select the option you want.
30 How to Check the Map Where a video was recor ded can be checked with the map. 1 Select a le from the recorded video list and play it back. 2 Press the Map tab .

The driving route will be displa yed on the map. 3 Double- click the map to play back the recorded video of the near est driving route from the clicked point.
32 How to Save as an Image While playing back a recor ded video, some parts can be saved as images if you want. 1 Select a le from the recorded video list and play it back. 2 Fr om the image to be saved, pr ess the button. Note y Using the timeline or press the / button to explore detailed images.
