The System Setup menu 07 34 En Manual MCACC setup You can use the settings in the Manual MCACC setup menu to make detailed adjustments when you’re more familiar with the system. Before making these settings, you should have already completed Automatically setting up for surround sound (MCACC) on page 8.
The System Setup menu 07 35 En Fine Speaker Distance • Default setting: 10.0 ft. (all channels) For proper sound depth and separation with your system, it is necessary to add a slight bit of delay to some speakers so that all sounds will arrive at the listening position at the same time.
The System Setup menu 07 36 En • FRONT ALIGN – All speakers are set in accordance with the front speaker settings (no equalization is applied to the front left and right channels). You return to the Acoustic Cal EQ setup menu after the Acoustic Calibration Equalization is set.
The System Setup menu 07 37 En 1 Select ‘EQ Data Check’ from the Manual MCACC setup menu. 2 Select the setting you want to check. • It is useful to do this while a source is playing so you can compare the different settings. 3 Select the channels you want, pressing ENTER when you’re finished checking each one.

Other connections 08 43 En • You can use speakers with a nominal impedance between 6 Ω to 16 Ω (please see Switching the speaker impedance on page 50 if you plan to use speakers with an impedance of less than 8 Ω ).
Other connections 08 44 En Bi-wiring your speakers The reasons for bi-wiring are basically the same as bi- amping, but additionally, interference effects within the wire could be reduced, producing better sound. Again, to do this your speakers must be bi-wireable (that is they must have separate terminals for the high and low frequencies).
Other connections 08 45 En Important • If you connect to a Pioneer plasma display using an SR+ cable, you will need to point the remote control at the plasma display remote sensor to control the receiver. In this case, you won’t be able to control the receiver using the remote control if you switch the plasma display off.
Other Settings 09 46 En Chapter 9: Other Settings The Input Assign menu You only need to make settings in the Input Assign menu if you didn’t hook up your digital equipment according to the default settings for the digital inputs, or if you have connected equipment using component video cables.
