9 7 Telephone operation Basic phone operation This phone comes programmed to use line 1 (default prime line) for calls if you do not press a line button. (To change the prime line, see PRIME LINE on page 39 of the installation guide.) When you answer a call, the phone automatically selects the ringing line.
