1 INST ALLA TION 3 Connect the power cord. Plug the power cor d into the jack labeled POWER and into an electrical outlet not controlled by a wall switc h. Fit the pow er cord behind the str ain relief tab. The Message Windo w f lashes C to indicate that you need to set the clock.
OPERA TION Set and hear time/day Use with other buttons to change/hear settings Tur n system on or off Setting the Clock Y ou’ ll need to set the clock so that it can announce the da y and time that each messag e is received. Press P to exit Setting the Clock at an y time.
OPERA TION 3 Ans w ering Calls When the system answ er s a call, the caller hears the announcement you recorded, follo wed by a beep. After the beep, the system begins recording y our caller’ s messag e. A caller can leave a message up to three minutes long.
OPERA TION 4 Announcement Monitor Y ou can choose whether to hear the announcement when your system ans wers a call, or hav e it silent (off) on your end (your caller will still hear an announcement).
5 Deleting Messages Delete All Messages After you ha ve listened to all messages and heard the tw o beeps, press 3 3 . Delete Selected Messages Press and release 3 while the messag e you want to delete is playing. Recor d Announcement 1 Press 7 * , and begin speaking after the beep.
T urn System Off Press 0 0 . T urn System On When the system is off, it ans wer s after 10 rings, announces “ The machine is off , ” and beeps twice. 1 Press 0 to turn the system on. 2 The system beeps twice and is read y to answ er calls and record messages.
