About Caller Identification (Caller ID) This product has a Caller ID with Call W aiting feature that w orks with ser vice available from y our local phone service provider . Caller ID with Call W aiting lets you see who’ s calling before y ou answ er the phone, even when you’ re on another call.
4 Batter y Installation This telephone requires f our AA batteries in order for the Caller ID with Call W aiting, Memor y , and New Call light to work. INST ALLA TION 1 Pr ess on batter y compartment covers to open. 2 Install two AA batteries (not included) in each compartment as shown, and close the covers.
5 INST ALLA TION T elephone Installa tion T able/Desk 1 Plug one end of the line cord into the telephone line jack. 2 Feed the line cord through the channel (so the phone will sit f lat). 3 Connect the other end to a wall jack, then continue with the steps in “For T able/Desk and W all Installation” on page 7.
INST ALLA TION 6 W all Installation 1 Plug one end of the line cord into the telephone line jack. 2 Feed the line cord into the c hannel and wind it around and out of the mounting area as shown.
7 1 Plug the coiled cord into the jack on the base. Plug the other end into the handset, then hang up. 2 Lift the handset and listen for a dial tone. If you can’t hear a dial tone, see IN CASE OF DIFFICUL TY .

13 TELEPHONE OPERA TION Flash/Call W aiting When you r eceive a call waiting signal, use F to put your curr ent call on “hold” and connect to the new call. Pr ess F again to r etur n to the first call. Also use F to activate other phone company subscriber services such as 3-W ay Calling.
14 TELEPHONE MEMOR Y Dialing Numbers in Memory For two-touch dialing: 1 Lift the handset. 2 Pr ess and r elease M , then pr ess the number button (0-9) where the memory number is stored. Storing Memory Numbers 1 Pr ess and release P . 2 Dial the telephone number (up to 24 digits).
15 About Caller Identification When the first call is received, the unit sets the current time and date automatically (y ou cannot set them), and resets them each time a new call comes in. (The time and date line remain blank until the f ir st call comes in.
