Plug one end of the line cord into the jac k la beled TEL LINE on the bottom of the telephone. Run the line cord through the c hannel on the bottom of the phone.

(This tab holds the handset when you hang up.) Hold down the s witchhook, and slide the tab up and out of its slot.

TELEPHONE OPERA TION 4 Hold T o put a call on hold, press and release H . The HOLD light f lashes. Y ou can return the handset to the cradle without disconnecting the call. ANSWERING SY STEM OPERA TION After the beep, the system begins recording y our caller’ s messag e. A caller can leav e a messa ge up to three minutes long. If the message is long er than three minutes, or if the caller is silent f or more than seven seconds, or if the system runs out of memor y , the system beeps once and hangs up.
ANSWERING SY STEM OPERA TION 8 Listening to Y our Messages As the system plays back messag es in a mailbo x, the Message Window displa ys the number of the message playing. Bef ore playing eac h message, the system announces the day and time the messag e w as r eceived.
ANSWERING SY STEM OPERA TION Recor ding a Memo Y ou can r ecord a memo to be stored as an incoming message. The memo can be up to three minutes long, and will be played bac k with other messages. 1 Press and release W . All four mailbox lights blink rapidl y .
Pla ying Messages in Another Mailbo x After playing messag es in one mailbox, the system announces “End of messag es, ” and beeps twice. Y ou can then press 1 (all messages) or 2 (new messag es only) and enter the number of another mailbox ( 1 , 2 , 3 , or 4 ).
Memor y Full If the system answ er s after 10 r ings and beeps twice instead of playing y our announcement, the system is of f, memor y is full, or the AO announcement is selected but not recorded. 1 Enter your Remote Access Code after the 2-beep signal.
