C1615M-C (9/06) 5 Description The RK5000PS-5U rack mount cha ssis supports Endura IP system mod ules. The chassis has 12 slots for single-w idth modules and 2 s lots for an internal, double-width power supply. Y ou can fill the empt y slots with s i ngle-width blank modu les (RK5001B-4U).

C1615M-C (9/06) 7 Installation MOUNTING A CHASSIS The RK5000PS- 5U chassis can be mounted into an EIA-standard, 19 -i nch rack. T o mount the chassis in to a rack, follow these steps and refer to Figure 4. 1. Insert the chassis into the rack. 2. Secure the ch assis to the rack with the supplied scr ews and washers.

C1615M-C (9/06) 9 INSTALLING A BLANK MODULE Single-width blank mo dules can be used to fill the empty module slots on the chassis. T o install a blank mod ule, follow these s teps and refer to Figure 7. 1. Insert the bl ank module int o the empty slot on the ch assis.

C1615M-C (9/06) 11 Service REPLACING AN INTERNAL POWER SUPPLY Y ou can easily replace the internal power su pply in the RK5000PS- 5U with a replaceme nt (RK5PWR-300). You will know if there is a problem with the power supply because the blue Pelc o badge on the front panel w ill turn off.
