14 C2688M-C (12/08) BASIC HARDWARE CONNECTIONS CONNECTING THE MATRIX S YSTEM TO THE EDI5000 Figure 11 shows how to wire the te rminal block and connect it to the data interface. No te that the termin al block can be attach e d to the data interface only in the prop er position.

Use the network port on th e front panel and a Cat5e (or bette r) ca ble with RJ-45 connectors to con nect the data interface to yo ur system network.
C2688M-C (12/08 ) 17 Power Supply Options The EDI5000 o ffers a single 4-pi n power connect or on the rear panel. The RK5100P S-5U rack mount kit and the NET53 01PS power sup ply attach to this conn ector . When using a d ifferent power supply, attach power to th e enclosed 4-pin to 2- pin adapte r and atta ch the adap ter to the unit.

C2688M-C (12/08 ) 23 SAVE CHANGES TO THE EDI5000 CONFIGURATION When changing sett ings in the EDI5000 system configuratio n software, you must save or apply the changes befo re you leave the pa ge; if you leave the page wit hout saving changes, the configuratio n settings revert to the previously saved settings an d your changes are lost.

Y ou can chang e the IP Address, Subnet Mask, or Gateway settin gs. Do not change the DHCP setting or the DNS Servers informatio n; these settings are re served for fut ure use.
