9 3.0 INSTALLATION Because the CopperLink Ethernet Extenders require no configuration, they can be installed quickly . Installation consists of the following: • Connect the line interf ace between the units (ref er to section 3.

11 3.2 LINE INTERFACE—CONNECTING THE 10/100BASE-T ETHERNET INTERFACE The shielded RJ-45 por t labeled Ethernet is the 10/100Base-T interf ace. This por t is designed to connect directly to a 10/100Base-T network. Figure 4 shows the signal/pin relationships on this interf ace .
