3 I. TRAINING • Read the instructions carefully . Be familiar with the con trols and the proper use of the equipment. • Never allow children or people unfamiliar with the ins truc - tions to use the lawnmower . Local regulations may restrict the age of the operator .
4 • Stop the engine and disengage drive to attachment - before refueling; - before removing the grass catcher; - before making height adjustment unless ad just ment can be made from the op er a tor’s position.

26 4. Motion control lever There are four different positions for this lever: N = Neutral (no drive) S = Slow F = F ast R = Reverse The lever can be moved steplessly between S and F to ensure the required speed.

29 8. P arking brake Connect the parking brake in the following way: 1. Press down the brake pedal to bottom position. 2. Move the parking brake lever upwards and hold in this position. 3. Release the brake pedal. T o release the parking brake all that is nec es sary is to push down the brake pedal.

42 A TTENTION! • Ne jamais utiliser un tracteur sur des pentes excédant 15°. Les risques de renversement étant alors très impor - tants. • Ne jamais rouler parallèlement à la pente du fait des risques de renversement. T oujours rouler perpendiculairement à la pente, aussi bien en montant, qu'en descendant.

55 025 45 6 Blades For best results mower blades must be kept sharp. Re place bent or damaged blades. Sharpening can be carried out with a file or grinding disc. NOTE: It is very important that both blades are sharpened equally to avoid imbalance. BL ADE REMOVAL: • Raise mower to highest position to allow access to blades.

57 6 T o Check Brake If tractor requires more than five (5) feet to stop at highest speed in high est gear on a level, dry concrete or paved sur - face, then brake must be serviced. Y ou may also check brake by: 1. P ark tractor on a level, dry concrete or paved surface, depress brake pedal all the way down and engage park- ing brake.
58 6 T o Remove Mower • Place attachment clutch in “DISENGAGED” position. • Lower attachment lift lever to its lowest position. • Disengage belt tension rod (K) from lock bracket (L). • Remove retainer spring (K), slide collar (L) off and push housing guide (P) out of bracket.

60 6 M V R T o Replace Mower Drive Belt MOWER DRIVE BEL T REMOVAL 1. Park tractor on a level surface. En gage parking brake. 2. Lower attachment lift lever to its lowest position. 3. Remove any dirt or grass clippings which may have accumulated around mandrels and entire upper deck surface.

69 6 EINSTELLUNG DES STEUERKNÜPPELS DES SCHAL TGETRIEBES Der Steuerknüppel wird von der Herstellerfirma im Werk voreingestellt und erfordert daher in der Regel keine weiteren Einstellungen. • Den vorne auf dem rechten Hinterrad befindlichen Einstellbolzen lösen und wieder leicht anziehen.

71 6 TRANSAXLE COOLING The fan and cooling fins of transmission should be kept clean to assure proper cooling. Do not attempt to clean fan or transmission while engine is running or while the transmission is hot. • Inspect cooling fan to be sure fan blades are intact and clean.

78 The following steps should be taken when mowing season is over: • Clean the entire machine, especially underneath the cutting unit cover . Do not use high pressure washer for cleaning. Water can enter engine and transmission and shorten the useful life of the machine.
