1 This document w ill help you in o rder to upgrade your Hands-free car kit via Blue tooth. Car kit upgrades are needed to improve the compat ibility of your Parrot device, by allowing you to use more phones with your kit. It can also allow y ou to get new functionali ties.
2 ► The follow ing dialog box is displa yed. 3. Select Car kits and click Next . ► The follow ing dialog box is displa yed. 4. Select the Parrot CK310 0 in the list and cli ck Next . ► The follow ing dialog box is displa yed. 5. Click on Download La test version .

Click on Do wnload Now and wai t until the end of the dow nload . ► The download ed files will be stored in C:Program Files Parrot Soft ware Update ToolInternet Files . 2 Upgrading t he Parrot CK 3100 There are three methods to upgrade your Parrot CK 3100: one b y serial cable ( §2.
4 5. Select the COM por t on w hich you have connected the serial cable and cl ick Next . 6. W he n the Parrot Software Update Tool reaches the “X PRAM downloading” step, plug in the car kit’s powe r supply. 7. W ai t until the end of the upgrade process and clic k on Finish.
5 Wait for the automa tic reboot of the k it. Do not stop the po wer source! This operation ca n take f ew minutes. 2.2 By Bluetooth (M ethod A) 2.2.1 Using the T oshiba stack Before you begin: • Download the up grade you wish to instal l.
6 c. S elect Custom Mo de and click Next . The devices a vailable are displa yed 3. Select your Parrot CK 3100 devi ce to start the serv ice discovery. ► The follow ing window is display ed. 4. Enter the Bluetooth PIN code : « 1234 » and click OK .
7 ► An outgoing COM Port is provide d by the Bluetooth softwa re during the connection . In our example the out going COM Port is nu mber 40. W rite this number down, it will be req uired in the P arrot Software U pdate Tool.

9 2.2.1 Using Broadco m and Microsoft stacks Before you begin: • Download the up grade you wish to instal l. • Make sur e that your Bluetooth d evice is corr ectly instal led o n your com puter (refer to its user guide for additio nal inform ation).
10 4. Sel ect Le t m e c hoose my own passkey then enter the Bluetooth PIN code : « 1234 » and click Next . 5. W ait until the connec tion is established then click Finish . 6. An outgoing COM Port is provided by the Bluetooth software during the connection.

12 Wait for the automa tic reboot of the k it. Do not stop the po wer source! This operation can ta ke few minutes. ► Your Parrot CK3 100 is now up to date. 2.2 By Bluetooth (M ethod B) Use the follow ing method if your PC is e quipped with the Broadco m or the M icrosoft stack.
13 6. On the follow ing window, click on Search dev ices and w ait while searching for visible devices. 7. In the list select Parro t CK3100 and clic k Next . 8. If requested enter the Bl uet ooth PIN code: « 1234 ». 9. W ai t while the Parrot So ftware Update Tool is passing the different upgrade steps and click on Finish .
