INTRODUCTION 2 Congratulations and thank y ou for y our purc hase of this precision P arasound audio component. The P arasound Zamp v .3 Zone Amplifier is the third generation of one of the world’ s most popular and prov en audio amplifiers.
AC VOL T AGE, INST ALLA TION AND RACK MOUNTING 3 115v - 230v AC V oltage Selector Switch This switc h is found on the c hassis bot tom. The 1 1 5V position of this switc h is correct f or North America; most other countries require set ting it to 230V .
REAR P ANEL CONNECTIONS AND CONTROLS 4 Connection Precautions Disconnect the A C cord before making or c hanging any input, trigger , or speaker wire connections. Make sure there is no strain or tension on an y wires that could cause them to pull loose.
Mono Operation W e recommend an 8 Ω minimum speaker load f or bridged mono operation. In mono the Zamp v .3 “bridges” the R c hannel to amplify only the positive half of the audio signal and the L c han- nel to amplify only the negative half of the audio signal.
REAR P ANEL CONNECTIONS AND CONTROLS continued 12V In Connection The Zamp v .3 1 2V input uses a 2.5mm sub-mini jac k. T o trigger the Zamp v .3, plug one end of the provided cord into this jac k and the other end into the source component’ s trigger output.
