6 Before Conn ecting T he CD 1 Power C ord AC Voltage Sele ction: Please do not assume the A C Voltage Select switch has been set corr ectly. Please do not assume the 115V or 230V mark ing on its carton is cor rect. The CD 1 wil l be seriously da maged if its AC V oltage Select switch is set incorrec tly.
7 Audio Conn ections Always turn off y our CD 1 before making or chan ging any connec tions. Ins erting or rem oving an interconnect whi le the CD 1 and ac com panying equipment is turned o n can result in a n imm ediate blast of sound that can dam age your loudspe akers .
8 Playing a CD On -Off Button Push the On-Of f button once to t urn on the CD 1. W hen the CD 1 is turn ed on the blue g low aroun d the buttons will becom e brighter, the re d P badge will glow brighter and the f ront panel d isplay will illuminate after 3- 4 seconds.
9 Loading a CD Push the CD gentl y but firmly into the CD 1’s loading slot. You need to push it in further th an you would a car stereo slot-load pla yer. Push the CD until its front edge st icks out only about 1” (25m m) in front of the CD 1 ’s front panel.
10 Remote Control The CD 1 remote cont rol h as a maximum range o f appr oximately 20 - 25 feet (6 - 7.5 m). U se only AAA al kaline bat teries and in sert the m accordi ng to the + and – polarity m arkings in the bat tery compartment. Please recy cle y our used b atterie s.
11 Setup Menu Options The CD 1 includes a set up m enu for several operational preferences. To enter th e setup m enu first eject and remove a CD t hat might be in t he player. Next press the “ > ” button o n the front pane l and the first setup option will app ear on the front pane l display.
