17 Usin g Scanning It is pos sible to ou tput scan ned im ages to a USB flash memory de vice, SD memory card, exte rnal printer , o r compu ter . If multip le output d evices ar e connec ted to this unit at the same time, the out put destin ation will be selected in the follo wing pri ority: 1.
Scanning 18 1 Set the powe r switch to on ( I ). 2 Connect the USB flas h memory de vice to “U SB Connector-A for USB Flas h Memory Device”. • When th e USB flash memory d evice is connec ted, a US B flash memory i con wil l blink on the di splay .
Scanning 19 Usin g 1 Set the powe r switch to on ( I ). 2 Open the SD memo ry card cove r and insert the SD memory card into the SD mem ory card slot until it is locked. Then clos e the SD me mory card cove r . • The S D memory c ard icon is shown on the displa y .
Scanning 20 6 Press the Mod e Key ( ). • The S creen Er ase An nounce is shown on the displa y . 7 After erasing the written te xt/diagrams on the screen, press the Mode Key ( ) to return to standby mode . • Only remove the SD mem ory card once you have retu rned to s tandby mode.
Scanning 21 Usin g 6 Press the S tart/Stop Key . • The un it starts scanni ng and the i mage is prin ted. • The c opying status is shown on t he displ ay . • After printing is finishe d, the Screen E rase Announ ce will b e shown on the disp lay .
Scanning 22 Note • The use of a USB hu b is not r ecommended . We cannot g uarantee t hat the uni t will work prop erly . • Do no t connect two or more Pa nasonic electron ic boar ds to a computer . It may c ause the com puter ope ration to become un stable.
23 Usin g Moving the Electronic Board 1 Make sure that the powe r switch is set to off ( ), and d isconnect the power c ord on both ends. • Make s ure if th ere are any other de vices connected to the uni t.
24 Setting the Unit The fol lowing setti ngs can be made us ing the c ontrol panel. Note • The ite m “Setting th e number of copies” is displ ayed at the top o f the set- up menu on ly when th e printer i s connec ted. It is pos sible to set t he number of c opies (1 to 9) wh en making multiple copies with a printe r .

Setting the Unit 28 By perfor ming the T est Pr int feature, i t is pos sible to clean th e printer h ead from thi s unit whe n scanne d images are not pri nted corre ctly (ex. certain areas appear bla nk ). Once th e printer h ead is cle aned, the fo llowing patter n will be printed.
29 Help Daily Care and Maintenance Always turn off the power switch and unplug t he power plu g when cle aning the unit . Gently wipe the sc reen film an d unit with a water- dampened cloth tha t has b een thorough ly wrung . Note • Use a neu tral kitchen c leaner di luted with water for hard-t o-clean stain s.
Daily Care and Maintenance 30 When the clock battery has been dra ined, the ti me set- up scr een i s display ed each tim e the unit ’s po w er is turned o n. Replace the batter y as follows a nd set the curren t time (see page 26). 1 Loosen the screw at tached to the lower side of the Control Panel 1 , then rem ove the ba ttery holder 2 .
