If the LED is off there may be a pr oblem with the adapter . Refer to Problem Solving. 2 Status LED Green/Y ellow This LED is used to indicate the status of the system.
W ARNING: RJ-45 ports. These are shielded RJ-45 data sockets. They cannot be used as standard traditional telephone sockets, or to connect the unit to a traditional PBX or public telephone network. Only connect RJ-45 data connectors, network telephony systems, or net- work telephones to these sockets.

Using the 3Com Switch Detect Application 1. On the computer that is connected to your Switch (either directly or on a network that is on the same subnet), insert the CD-ROM into its CD drive. If you have autorun enabled, you will be presented with a menu showing the contents of the CD-ROM.
