6 Safety Precautions This Plasma Display is for use only with the following optional accessories. Use with any other type of optional accessories may cause instability which could result in the possibility of injury . (All of the following accessories are manufactured by Matsushita Electric Industrial Co.
7 Safety Precautions / Maintenance W ARNING The front of the display panel has been specially treated. Wipe the panel surface gently using only a cleaning cloth or a soft, lint-free cloth.
8 Accessories Requires two AA batteries. 2. Insert batteries - note correct polarity ( + and -). Precaution on battery use Incorrect installation can cause battery leakage and corrosion that will damage the remote control transmitter . Disposal of batteries should be in an environment-friendly manner .
9 – Cable fi xing bands Secure any excess cables with bands as required. Speakers (Optional accessories) Pass the attached cable fi xing band through the clip as shown in the fi gure.
10 Connections PC Input T erminals connection Notes: • Due to space limitations, occasionally you may have trouble connecting Mini D-sub 15P cable with ferrite core to PC input T erminal. • Computer signals which can be input are those with a horizontal scanning frequency of 15 to 1 10 kHz and vertical scanning frequency of 48 to 120 Hz.

13 Power ON / OFF When the POWER is turned on for the fi rst time, the LANGUAGE selection screen is displayed. From the second time on, language selection can be done from the setup menu. (see page 18) Select the desired language using the or button and press the ACTION ( ) button.

15 Basic Controls OFF TIMER 90 1 2 3 PC NORMAL Standby (ON / OFF) button The Plasma Display must fi rst be plugged into the wall outlet and turned on at the power switch (see page 13). Press ON to turn the Plasma Display On, from Standby mode. Press OFF to turn the Plasma Display Off to Standby mode.
16 Normal Viewing PICTURE SETUP SOUND POS. /SIZE On-Screen Menu Displays The MENU button on the unit can also be pressed. Each time the MENU button is pressed, the menu screen will switch.

21 Adjusting POS. /SIZE While the POS. /SIZE display is active, if either the N button on the remote control is pressed at any time or the ACTION ( ) button is pressed during “NORMALIZE”, then all adjustment values are returned to the factory settings.

27 INPUT MENU VOL ENTER/ + / - / VOL button Digital Zoom This displays an enlargement of the designated part of the displayed image. Select the area of the image to be enlarged. Press on the enlargement location to select. Return to normal display (quit Digital Zoom).
28 PRESENT TIME SETUP / SET UP TIMER PRESENT TIME SETUP The timer can switch the Plasma Display ON or OFF . Before attempting T imer Set, con fi rm the PRESENT TIME OF DA Y and adjust if necessary . Then set POWER ON TIME / POWER OFF TIME. Press to display the SET UP menu.

30 Do not display a still picture, especially in NORMAL mode, for any length of time. If the display must remain on, a SCREENSA VER should be used. NEGA TIVE / SCROLL selection 2 3 1 4 Press to display the SET UP menu. Press to select the SCREENSA VER.
31 Setup of SCREENSA VER T ime After selecting TIME OF DA Y or INTERV AL, the relevant T ime Setup will become available for selection and the Operating T ime may be set. (T ime cannot be set when “MODE” is “ON” or “OFF”.) Press to select ST ART TIME / FINISH TIME (When TIME OF DA Y is selected).
32 SIDE BAR ADJUST 1 Press to select the SIDE BAR ADJUST . Press to select OFF , DARK, MID, BRIGHT . Press to exit from SCREENSA VER. 2 Do not display a picture in NORMAL mode for an extended period, as this can cause an after-image to remain on the side bars on either side of the display fi eld.
33 Reduces power consumption Press to select “POWER SA VE” “ST ANDBY SA VE” “POWER MANAGEMENT” “AUTO POWER OFF”. Press to select “ON” or “OFF”. On Off Press to exit from SET UP . • POWER SA VE: When this function is turned ON, luminous level of the Plasma Display is suppressed, so power consumption is reduced.
34 By lining up Plasma Displays in groups, for example, as illustrated below , an enlarged picture may be displayed across all scre ens. For this mode of operation, each plasma display has to be set up with a Display number to determine its location. Press to display the SET UP menu.
