Chapter 1 Preparation 11 Battery Charge At the time of shipment, the batteries are not charged. T o charge, place the handset on the base unit. Please charge the batter ies for about 4 hours before initial use.

If rotary or pulse ser vice is used, set to pulse. The factory preset is tone. Make sure that the power is ON and the unit is in the stand-by mode.

39 Chapter 5 Useful Information Replacing the Batteries If “ ” flashes after a fe w telephone calls ev en when the handset batteries have been fully charged, it is time to replace the batteries with new ones. Remember to charge the new batteries after replacement.
