11 A utomatic dialing on the main unit Storing names and telephone number s in the phonebook T o use the phonebook on the main unit, you need to transf er the stored phonebook of the por table handset to the main unit. (Y ou cannot store directly in the phonebook on the main unit.

14 Inter com An intercom is av ailable between the portable handsets or between the main unit and por tab le handset(s). Using the main unit: Using the portable handset (KX-FKN526): 3 Replace the handset to end the intercom call. 1 For single portable handset users Press (Intercom).
15 Sending faxes 1 Open the document cov er , and adjust the width of the document guides to the size of the document. 2 Inser t the document (up to 5 pages) F ACE UP until a single beep is heard. 3 If necessar y , press (Search button) repeatedly to select the desired resolution while “ ｶﾞｼﾂ = ” is display ed (see below).
16 Receiving faxes Receiving a fax manuall y (A UT O ANSWER off) 2 When: – document reception is required, – a f ax calling tone (slow beep) is heard, or – no sound is heard, press (F ax), then replace the handset. The unit will star t f ax reception.
17 Recor ding your o wn greeting message Y ou can record y our own greeting message. When receiving a call, it will be pla yed to callers instead of the pre-recorded Japanese g reeting message. 3 Press (Set). 5 Press (Set) and speak your g reeting message after a beep , up to 16 seconds, to the handset.
18 Operating the b uilt-in answering de vice Operating the answering de vice fr om a remote location Operation: Listening to a recorded message from a remote location T ur n the (A uto answer) light on bef ore you go out. Remote operations are a v ailable only from a touch tone telephone.
19 Call bloc k While the unit is ringing, press (Block). OR While you are on an incoming call, press (Block), then press . The unit announces a message to the caller 2 times, then hangs up automatically . The message is announced in Japanese and means “W e’ re sorr y , but your call cannot be connected.
