Cards that you can use w ith this unit Use microSD Me mory Card (512 MB/1 GB/2 GB ) or microSDHC Memo ry Card (4 GB/8 GB/ 16 GB/32 GB) confo rming to Cla ss 4 *2 or higher of the SD Spee d Clas s Ra tin g *1 fo r moti on pictur e recor ding.
- 14 - Inserting/removing a mic roSD card Caut ion: Check that the a ccess lam p A has gone off. ≥ When this unit is ac c essing the mi croS D car d (suc h as r ecognit ion, reco rding, pl ayb ack an d deletio n), the acc ess lamp li ghts up.
- 15 - Press the powe r button to turn on this unit. T urning th is unit on/off The po wer lamp is turn ed on. T o turn off this unit Hold do wn the powe r button unti l the power lamp goes off. Proc eed to “Co nnecti ng directl y with a smar tphone ” ( l 17 ) and “Se tting up with S etup wizard ” ( l 19 ) t o finish the setup of this unit.
- 16 - ∫ Use this unit as a wi reless LA N device When using equipment or compu ter systems that require m ore reliable sec urity than wir eless LAN devices, ensure th at the app ropriate m easures a re taken for s afety design s and defe cts for the systems used.
- 17 - Inst alling Image App The Ima ge App is an appl ication fo r the smar tphone p rovided by P anasonic. ≥ The serv ice may n ot be able to be us ed prope rly depend ing on the type of smartpho ne being used. For compatible device s, see the following support s ite.
- 18 - Select th is unit's SS ID (Wirele ss network n ame) on a smartpho ne and en ter password t o connect wit h t he smart phon e . ≥ Change th e default SSID a nd password after co mpleting th e first setting . ( l 19 ) 1 Press the Wi-Fi/WPS button continuously to change the Wi-Fi mode lamp to [ ].
- 19 - After making the settings according to the setup wizard screens, you can use the main functions of this unit. Proce ed to com plete th e setup by foll owing th e on-s creen inst ruction s. ≥ The setu p wizard is displaye d at the tim e of purch ase and after a long period of non-use d uring which the b attery ran down.
- 20 - ∫ If the conne ction between this u nit and the sm artphone has been interrupted The con nection between th is unit a nd the sm artphone may be interrupte d tempor arily de pending on radio wave conditions. An atte mpt to reco nnect is made aut omatically when ra dio wave inte rference, etc.

- 23 - ∫ Checks befo re recor ding If you inte nd to reco rd only with th is unit by tur ning off the W i-Fi mode, we recommen d you make a test recording to check the sett ings such as the fiel d of view mode, [Imag e stabilization] and [Wh ite balanc e] b efo re rec ording.
- 24 - Ta p # [Recor d Setup ] # respective items o n the Imag e App sc reen. ≥ For mor e informa tion, refer to the help of the Im age App. This se ts the record ing mode. T he grea ter the nu mber is, the higher th e image quality is . However, the file size a lso become s greater.
- 25 - This is for recording still pictures at a set interval. (60 Seconds/30 Seconds/10 Seconds/5 Seconds/ 3 Seconds/O FF) ≥ If you tap the still picture rec ording icon, intermitte nt reco rding starts. (T ap it again to stop recordin g.) ≥ Y ou can also start/st op intermitt ent rec ording by p ressing the photos hot button on this uni t.

- 27 - Motion pictures or still pictures stored in this unit are played back with the smart phone. ≥ For mor e informa tion, refer to the help of the Im age App. 1 Ta p . ≥ Thumbnails of motion picture or still picture sto red in this unit are disp layed.

- 30 - When you upload motio n pictures and still pictures r ecorded with this unit on WEB services (Facebo ok, Y ouTube, etc.) o r perform a live broa dcast us ing “USTREA M”, you a re requir ed to set the following. ≥ For mor e informa tion, refer to the help of the Im age App.
- 31 - “LUMIX CLUB” settings If you i ntend to b roadcast a live motio n picture o r use WEB se rvices wi th an iOS device, you are required to regi ster “L UMIX CLUB ” and WE B services yo u use because uploadi ng or liv e broadcas ting is do ne via “ LUMIX CLUB” .
- 32 - 4 Close (or hide) the Im age App, turn on the W i-Fi setting, and conne ct this unit and smartphone ( l 17 ) When yo u perform a live broa dcast with USTREAM , you are required t o synchronize the “LU MIX CLUB” set tings with this unit.
- 33 - Uploads motion/still pict ures stored on th is unit to WEB services. “LUMIX C LUB” set tings, e tc. are r equired for up loading . ( l 31 ) R efer to “Requir ed setti ngs for se nding d ata, etc.” ( l 30 ). ≥ For mor e informa tion, refer to the help of the Im age App.
- 34 - ≥ If 3G or othe r mobile connections ar e used for uploading motion pictures or still pict ures, high data charge s may be in curred de pending on the conte nt of your data plan. Upload ing on WEB se rvices can also be do ne with a n access po int conn ection.
- 35 - Advanced This is t he connect ion method for Live broadcas ting using the “LUMI X CLUB” and “USTR EAM” services. ≥ Check if the wireless access point is compati ble with IEEE802.1 1b, IEEE802.1 1 g, or IEEE802.1 1n. ≥ Access po int settings a re require d speciall y for Live br oadcasting .
- 36 - Enter SSID ( Wireless n etwork name) and password of yo ur access p oint to conn ect this unit to the access point . 1 Check the SSID and p as sw ord of your acc ess point. ≥ The SSID and passwor d of the a ccess point (e .g. a wir eless router ) you us e are des cribed on th e access poin t device or in its man ual.
- 37 - Using th e “LUMIX CLUB” and “USTREA M” services, you can br oadcast l ive motion p ictures. (Li ve broadcas ting) ≥ For the con nection, refer to “Setti ng the connec tion destinati on for Live bro adcastin g (Connecting in Live broadc ast mod e) ” ( l 35 ).

- 39 - ∫ About Line qua lity for Live b r oadcasti ng Set the Line Quality from the following . When [AUTO] is set , the line qu ality is checked and is automa tically set to on e of the option s.
- 40 - Performing a liv e broadcast Press the W i-Fi/WPS button continuou sly to change the Wi-Fi mode lamp to [ ]. ≥ Wi-Fi mode lamp [ ] will turn on when the connection is completed. ≥ A live broadc ast starts. ≥ If [E-m ail Setup ] is ena bled, a br oadcast n otification e-mail is sent to the addresse s that have been set.
- 41 - The foll owing conn ections are for contro lling this u nit from a s martphon e via an acce ss point (wireles s router , etc.) or for playi ng back motio n pictures in this unit on a DLNA-c ompatible TV . (The connecti ons of bot h 1 and 2 are re quired) ≥ Check if the wireless access point is compati ble with IEEE802.
- 42 - Enter SSID ( Wireless n etwork name) and password of yo ur access p oint to conn ect this unit to the access point . 1 Check the SSID and p as sw ord of your acc ess point. ≥ The SSID and passwo rd of the access point ( e.g. a wi reless broa dband ro uter) you use are describ ed on the access point device or i n its manual.
- 43 - Play back the data in th is unit on a D LNA-compati ble device, such as a DL NA-compatibl e TV . ≥ Refer to “Connect ing to device s on the ne twork ( Connecting in Access Poi nt mode) ” ( l 41 ) for inform ation on th e connectio n.
- 44 - For the networ k for this unit, tap # [Cam era Wi -Fi sett in gs] # [Camera SSID settings ] from the Image A pp to mak e changes, etc. The foll owing setti ngs can b e made.
- 45 - With a PC If you con nect this unit to a PC wh ile this un it is turned o ff, charging of this unit starts. ( l 11 ) If you con nect this unit to a PC wh ile this un it is tu rned o n, this uni t is rec ognized as a card rea der , so you can access the m icroSD card in this unit from t he PC.
- 46 - ∫ For use wit h Mac Copying motion/ still pictures on PC When u sing this u nit as a car d reader, removable disk (Exam ple: ) is disp layed in [Com puter] . 1 Double-click the folder that contains the still pictures. ([DCIM] # [100CDPFQ] etc.
- 47 - About the PC display The folder structur e of a microSD card on wh ich this unit has performed recording is as follows. Examp le folde r structu re of a m icroSD card: ≥ Folde r num bers rang e from 100 to 999. Four or five alphab etic charact ers after a three- digit numb er indica te the fi le type.
- 48 - The feature of HD W r iter WE 1.0 Y ou can copy the motion/still picture files to the HDD of PCs or microSD cards using HD Writer WE 1.0, t he software i nstalled in t he suppli ed CD-ROM . ≥ Refer to the ope rating in structions o f HD Wr iter WE 1.

- 50 - Operating e nvironment for HD Writer WE 1. 0 When using HD Writer WE 1.0, the follo wing PC environment is required. ≥ Even if the sys tem requirem ents mentioned in this owner ’s manual are fulf illed, some PCs cannot be used. ≥ A CD-ROM drive is necessary to install the supplied software applications.
