4 Bef ore use p w Overview p This unit is a compact full HD camera integr ated with a pan-tilt head and f eaturing a 1/3-type full HD MOS sensor and digital signal processor (DSP). p In addition to its optical 18 zoom lens , the unit comes with a 10 digital zoom to achie v e high-quality shooting that ov erflows with ambiance .

6 Bef ore use (contin ued) p w Concerning the plug‑in viewer software p This is necessary only when using a personal computer running Windows. In order to displa y the IP videos on this unit, the “Netw ork Camera Vie w4” plug-in view er software must be installed.
7 Basic shooting operations 1 Set the subject brightness to the appropriate level. 2 T urn on the power of all the units and devices in the system. 3 Select the unit to be operated. Even when using only one unit, it m ust still be selected from the wireless remote control or controller .

9 How to turn the po wer on and off (continued) p w T urning the power off When performing the operations using the wireless remote control 1 Press one of the [CAM1] to [CAM4] buttons on the wireless remote control to select the unit. 2 Press the [ON/ST ANDBY] button on the wireless remote control f or 2 seconds.

23 White balance adjustment p w White balance adjustment In order f or the white to be reproduced accurately , the ratio between the three primar y colors (RGB) is adjusted. If the white balance has shifted out of adjustment, not only will the white be reproduced poorly but the color tones of the entire screen will also be degraded.

25 White balance adjustment (continued) When the A W ‑RP50 is connected: Ref er to the Operating Instructions of the controller . p White balance ma y not be correctly set if the lighting of the object is too weak. p Since the unit has a built-in memory , the set white balance will remain in the memor y e ven if po wer is turned off.

27 Blac k le vel (master pedestal) adjustment p w Blac k level (master pedestal) adjustment The blac k le vel can be adjusted when using a multiple number of cameras including the unit. Ask your dealer to perf or m this adjustment. (Use an oscilloscope or wa vef orm monitor for the adjustment.

29 Genloc k adjustment (A W ‑HE60S onl y) p w Genloc k adjustment The genlock adjustment is perf ormed to achiev e phase alignment by applying e xternal synchronization (genlock) when a multiple number of camer as will be used or when the unit will be used in combination with other de vices.

101 Limiter s This unit comes with settings (ref erred to as “limiters”) that restrict the panning and tilting movement r anges. Depending on where the unit has been installed, a subject which the user does not wish to be shot ma y be present in the mov ement ranges.
102 Setting/releasing the limiter s p w Basic limiter operations 1 Press the [MENU] button. T ap the button (r ather than pressing it). When it is pressed f or 2 seconds, the camera menu will appear . If this happens, press the [MENU] b utton again for 2 seconds to clear the camera menu.
