8 Rotary head This rotates in the horizontal direction. Pedestal PO WER ON/OFF switch Where a s witch is pushed in, the unit’ s power is turned on, and the unit’ s power is turned off after the switch has jumped out. A C inlet [A C IN] (AC 3-point inlet) Connect the accessor y A C power cab le to this inlet.
9 P ar ts and their function Rotary head connector panel ND/EXT connector [ND/EXT] This is f or the control of the ND filter and lens extender of the motorized lens unit. Connect this connector when using a motorized lens unit with ND filter and lens e xtender functions.
10 P ar ts and their function P edestal connector panel CONTROL IN RP connector [RP] This is the connector f or the control of signals of the camera and pan-tilt head. It is connected to the TO P AN/TIL T HEAD connector on the A W-RP655 m ulti-function controller and A W-RP555 multi h ybr id control panel.
11 Installation For a stand-alone installation Assemb ling the pan-tilt head When assembling the pan-tilt head, use the Allen k ey (provided) and scre wdriver , and secure the head by tightening the scre ws firmly . After mounting the pan-tilt head, check there is no pla y in its installation.
12 Installation Mounting the tally lamp Connect the cable connector which is taped to the top of the pan-tilt head to the tally cab le connector. Mount the tally lamp on the top of the pan-tilt head using the two scre ws provided. Mount the lamp while pa ying attention to the wire.
13 Installation Concerning the saf ety modes This unit comes with two saf ety modes which are designed to safeguard the user and others from injury and to prev ent damage to the pan-tilt head.
14 Installation Pr ocedure for changing the settings of the CPU cir cuit board s witches F ollow the steps below to change the settings of the CPU circuit board s witches. Remo ve the f our screws, and gently remo v e the housing case. Disconnect the tally cab le connector .

21 Concerning the balance of the installed unit The weight balance ma y be impaired when the pan-tilt head is used in combination with a camera and long lens.
22 Installation Bear ing in mind the length of the lens, set the mov ement range of the pan-tilt head using the limiters in such a wa y that the hood at the edge of the lens will not come into contact with the surf ace on which the pan-tilt head is installed when the pan-tilt head is tilted.
