5 Chapter 1 Applying Eff ects to Video and Sound Setting the Basic Pattern Key [BASIC P A TTERN KEY]/ P a t te r n Ke y [P A TTERN KEY] The [BASIC P A TTERN KEY] menu or [P A TTERN KEY] menu is used to create a key with key patterns.
6 Chapter 1 Applying Eff ects to Video and Sound Setting the Chroma Key [CHROMA KEY] Chroma keying is a function for r emoving a specified color range from one image and keying another image to the range. The following diagram shows an example of the chroma key .

11 Chapter 1 Applying Eff ects to Video and Sound Setting the Downstream Key (DSK) A downstream key r efers to a key which is mixed at the end of the effects including transition and keying. A key that you want to display in the foregr ound of an image is set as a downstream key .

The setting value can be increased to remove only the ar ea of the luminance level closest to the specified level. 15 Chapter 1 Applying Eff ects to Video and Sound [TIME EFFECTS] The still, strobe, or multi-str obe effect can be set. Still: Keeps the video still. Strobe: Plays video frame by frame. Multi-strobe: Divides the scr een into 4, 9, or 16 screens and displays the strobe image on each divided scr een.

25 Chapter 3 Switching 3D Video This function allows selection of 3D mode and 3D signal format. Select [3D] in the [SETUP] menu using the rotary 1 control, and set the 3D mode and 3D signal format as described below using the rotary 2 and 3 controls.
