Configuring options 18 Configuring options The IP Phone 2001 Services menu lists the following submenus: •T h e Telephone Option menu ena bles you or your system administrator to configure telepho ne preferences. Figure 4 illustrates the choices available in this menu.

Configuring options 22 To select a langua ge: Selecting date/time format There are several date/time for mats, based on the 12-hour clock or the 24-hour clock. To select a date/time format, press the Services key an d select Date/Time… from the Telephone Option menu.
Configuring options 23 Selecting local dialpad tone Use the Local DialPad Ton e option if you want the tele phone dialing keys to produce a sound when you pr e ss them. Your choices are: • Dual Tone M ulti-Frequency ( DTMF) sounds • a single tone • no sound.
Configuring options 24 To select a ring type: Viewing telephone information The Set Info option displays the following telephone -specific information: • IP address • Hardware ID of the IP Phone • Current firmware version To view telephone info rmation, press the Services key and select Set Info from the Telephone Option menu.
