3 PREPARATION CONNECTING POWER Your radio requires fo ur AA batteries (not supplied) for po wer and two AAA ba tteries (not supp lied) f or clock a nd memory ba ckup. For the best performanc e and l ongest l ife, we re commend Radio Shack alkali ne ba tter- ies.
4 Connecting an AC Adapter You can pow e r the rad io us in g a 6V, 30 0-m A AC ada pter and a si ze M Ad apt aplu g ® adapt - er (neither supplied). Both are ava ilable at your l ocal Ra dioS hack st ore. Cautions: Y ou mus t use a Cla ss 2 powe r source th at su pplies 6 V DC and deliv ers at least 300 mA.

6 OPERATION USING THE CLOCK You c an us e t he cl ock to keep trac k of the time in two diff erent time zones. Follo w thes e step s for ea ch time zone t o set the clo ck in tha t zone. 1. Press POWER ON/OFF to turn of f the radio, the n press DUAL TIME to sele ct Ti m e 1 or Ti m e 2 .
