5 INTRODUC TION OutBack P ower Systems’ HUB System Communications Manager allows multiple OutBack devices to connect and integrate at one point via CA T5e cable WITH RJ45 modular jacks .
6 HUB 10 and HUB 4 P ar ts Each HUB comes with su cient fasteners , cables and bushings for most common installations. Please see the enclosed hardware kit for speci c parts.
7 HUB Operation When the rst powered OutBack product plugs into the HUB: • The HUB will go thr ough a power up sequence that ashes all of its LEDs. • The POWER LED will r emain on any time that one or more powered OutBack pr oduc ts ar e connected.
8 Common W iring Con gurations Single FX Series Inver ter/Char ger and OutBack Controller • Plug the FX into P or t 1 of the HUB. • The Charge Controller and an y future OutBack devices can be plugged into any remaining non-M A TE ports.
9 Three-Phase Stack ing Only The OutBack HUB is shipped from the factor y setup f or series (120/240 V AC split phase) and/or parallel (120 V AC or 230 V AC single phase) stack ing . I f three-phase stack ing is desir ed, the cover must be remov ed and a jumper position changed.
10 4. Move the plug-in jumper from the series/parallel location to the thr ee -phase location. 5. Replace the PCB and bottom cover , the snap on wir ing cov er , and all CA T5e cables.
