3 Getting Star ted The Shor tT ube 80-T comes nearly fully assembled from the f actor y . The telescope’ s optics have been installed and col- limated, so you should not hav e to make any adjustments to them. Open the box and inspect the contents to make sure all of the items in the par ts list are present.
4 Do Y ou Wear Eyeglasses? If you wear eyeglasses , y ou ma y be able to keep them on while you obser ve, if your e yepieces hav e enough “eye relief ” to allow you to see the whole field of view .
5 A. The Moon The Moon, with its rocky , cratered surface , is one of the easiest and most interesting subjects to observe with your telescope. The myriad craters, r illes, and jagged moun - tain f or mations offer endless fascination. The best time to obser v e the Moon is dur ing a par tial phase, that is, when the Moon is not full.
