3 Installation 3.1 Safety information NOTE! Before ins tallatio n, it is ess ential tha t you read the gener al inform ation at the beginning of this user guide.
3.6 Connecting to the teleph one socket Connect the te lephone cabl e supplied to the telephone wall socket and to the socket marked with a “PHO NE LINE” symb ol on the rear of the base unit. 3.7 Recall button You will use the Recall b utton when using your ne twor k operator’s services such as call waiting etc.
4.2 Setting the al arm To turn on the alarm , press the ALARM SET button. T he icon and the current alarm time will be flashing and the time of alarm will be shown. After 5 seconds elapse, the icon com es on to ind icate that th e clock alarm i s on. To turn off the alarm, press th e ALARM SET b utton again.
4.5 Using the telephone The TCR10 telephon e is used like any conv entional te lephone and works with all modern teleph one exchanges usin g the tone dialling system. 1. Lift the handset and wait until you hear di al tone. The keypad will illuminat e.
5.2 Making a call using the speed dial button s 1. Lift the handset. 2. Press the MEM butto n 3. Now press the required stora ge location between 0 and 9 on the keypad. The stored number will be d ialled automatical ly. 4. To end the call, replace the h andset.
6 For use on a Phone System only (PBX) 6.1 Pause function when using phone on a P BX Note! Inserting a pause between the code fo r the outside lin e (usually 0 or 9) and the number to be dialled described in this c hapter is only necessary on older telephone system s.
7 Important Information 7.1 Troublesh ooting If you feel this product is not working co rrectly please consult th e user guide and ensure that you are u sing the product in accordance with the instructions. Remove all extra telepho ne equipme nt and conn ect only t his telephon e directly to the telephon e socket.
7.3 Warranty I nformat ion This product is covered by a 12 month wa rranty against defective workmanship or parts, effective from th e date of purchase. NOTE: The warranty does not extend to damage caused by misuse, negligence, excessive voltage, fault s on the telephone line or l ightning.
