- 7 - Getting Started CONNECTING YOUR PHONE 1. Connect the output plug o f the mains ad apter to the bo ttom of the base unit. 2. Connect the mains a dapter to a stan dard wall outlet. 3. Connect the telephone line cords to the phone so ckets (Line 1 & Line 2) on the side of the base unit and the wall phone sockets.
Call - 8 - 3. Place the handset o n the charging crad le. Charge for 14 hours before initial use . CHECKING THE BATTER Y LEVEL The batter y icon displays the current b attery leve l. = 100% full = 60% full = 30% full = Empty. Require charging. Your handset ma y power down sho rtly if it is not charg ed after the b attery is empty.
Call - 9 - 4. Slide the base unit down into place . GREETING YOU WI TH “HELL O” At first start up, your handset welcom es you with a “Hel lo” message . At the “Hello” scree n, set the co untry to start using the phone. The Country menu is only available in models that support multiple-cou ntry settings .

Call - 12 - 2. Press REDIA L . The last dialed numbe r displays on the screen and is diale d out. Calling from the dialed list Each handset stores the last 10 numbers (up to 32 digits) you have dialed. The most recent dialed number is stored at the top o f the list.

Press to dial out the ca ll on line 1 o r to dial out on line 2. Speed dialing Spend less time dialing! Speed dialing gives you the convenience of dialing a number by pressing a single key.

Intercom and Conference Calls - 17 - Making a dual line conference call A dual line conference call is a call between you and 2 ou tside callers using both telephone lines on your phone. You are on a call on both line 1 and 2, and you wa nt to talk to both partie s at the same time .
- 18 - Text and Numbers You can enter text and numbers for h andset name, ph onebook re cord, services record, text messaging, and others. CHANGING THE LETTER CASE The default setting is upper ca se. 1. Press during editing. The ne xt letter you enter will be in the alternate case.

Call Log - 30 - Making a call After assigning a speed dial key, you can start making calls using spee d dial. 1. Press and hold the assigned key during standby. The numbe r displays on the screen and is diale d out on a free line. Cancelling a speed dial key If you no longer wish to use a spee d dial key, you can canc el the key.
