40 Notebook PC User Manual Sleep is the same as Suspend-to- RAM (STR). This function stores your current data and sta tus in RAM while many components are turned OFF . Because RAM is volatile , it requires po wer to keep (refresh) the data. Click the Window s button and the arrowhead next to the lock icon to see this option.

These dual-purpose keys are labeled in orange on the key caps. Numeric assignments are located at the upper right hand c orner of each key as shown in the figure.

T his indicator is OFF when the Notebook PC is turned OFF or in the Suspend-to-Disk (Hibernation) mode.
Notebook PC User Manual 49 Driv e Ac tivity Indicator Indicates tha t the Notebook P C is accessing one or more st orage device(s) such as the hard disk. The light flashes proportional to the access time. Bluetooth / W ireless Indicator This is only applicable on models with internal Bluetooth (BT ) and built-in wireless LAN.

Touchpad The touchpad is an interactive devic e that interprets the gestures and position of y our fingers t o simulate the functions of a regular mouse.
52 Notebook PC User Manual Using the t ouchpad The touchpad allow s you to use one-finger and multi-finger gestures to move the pointer so you can select and click items, rotate and zoom images, scroll lists, as well as swipe and swit ch between windows.

54 Notebook PC User Manual Rotating - Rotating images clockwise or counterclockwise is done on the touchpad by using two fingers . T o rotate an image, place two fingers on the touchpad then turn one finger clockwise or counterclockwise while the other stays still.
Notebook PC User Manual 55 The touchpad responds to mo vement not to f orce. There is no need to tap the surface too hard. T apping too hard does not increase the responsiveness of the t ouchpad.
