4 PREPARATION USING THE BELT CLIP To attac h th e b elt cl ip , al ign it with the s lot s o n th e b ac k o f th e SCP-104, then slid e the clip in the opp osite dire ction of the arro w unt il i t sna p s int o pl ace. To remov e the belt cli p, lift the tab an d slide it off in the dire c- tion of t he arrow.
5 Follow these s teps to in stall batteries. 1. Slide th e battery compartment cov er in the d irection of the arro w to remo v e it. 2. Place the ba tteries in the compartment and on top of the atta ched r ibbon, as indi cated by th e pol ar ity symb ols ( + and – ) ma rked on the bac k of the SC P-104.

12 RESTORING T APE T ENSION AND SOUND QUALITY After you play a casset te severa l times , the tape might b e- come ti ghtly wound on the re els. This c an cause playb ack sound q uality to deteriorate . To restor e the s ound quali ty, fast-fo rward the tape from th e beginni ng to the end of one s ide, then c ompletel y rewind it.
