USING A C P O W ER You can power the SCP-101 using a 3V, 300- mA AC adapter and a size H Adaptaplug ® (neither su pplied) . Both are availab le at your l ocal RadioS hack stor e.
7 Follow these steps to power the SCP-101 from standard AC power. 1. If the ad apter has a voltage switch, set the s witc h to 3V . 2. Inser t the Adapta plug into the ada pter’ s cord so it reads TIP +. 3. Ins er t th e Adapt aplug into the SCP- 101’ s DC 3V ja ck.
8 Cautions: Y ou must use a pow er sourc e that sup plies 3V DC and de livers at least 300 mA . Its cen- ter tip must be set to po sitive and its plu g must fit th e SCP-101's DC 3V jack. Us ing an adapter that do es not me et these spe cificat ions co uld dam- age the SCP -101 or th e adapte r .

12 RADIO OPERATION Follow these steps to set up, t une and play the ra dio. 1. Con nect either headphones o r amplified s peak ers t o PHONES . 2. Set T APE/RADIO to RADIO . 3. Set FM ST / FM/AM to the desire d band. 4. Adju st VO L to the desired listeni ng lev el.
