6 POWERING THE CD PLAYER You can pow er your CD p layer from a ny of these s ources: • two AA al kaline ba tteries (not sup- plied) • two r echargeab le AA nickel -c ad - mium batte ries (not supp.

Connect an optional AC or DC adapter t o the CD p layer ’s DC IN 4.5V j a c k ( se e “U si ng A C P o w e r ” o r “Usi ng V e hicle Ba ttery Po wer” on Page 8). 2. After 17 hours , unplug the adapter then disconnec t it from the CD pl ayer’s DC IN 4.

9 MAKING THE CON NECTIONS Yo u can l isten t o yo ur CD p lay er by connecti ng earph ones, head phones, o r amplified speakers to the p layer’s PHO NES jack, or by c onnecting a home audio or autosoun d system to the CD pl ayer’s LINE OUT jack.

11 Storing a Radio Station in Memory You can st ore up to 2 0 sta tions (15 FM and 5 AM) in memory — 5 each in AM, FM1, FM2, a nd FM3. 1. T u rn on the radio an d tune the desired band and s tation . 2. Hold down one o f the mem ory but - tons ( P1 throug h P5 ) until PRESET appears.
