En Po wered Subw oofer SL-107 Instruction Manual Thank you for purchasing an Onkyo po wered subwoofer . Please read this manual thoroughly before using the unit. F ollo wing the instructions in this manual will enable you to obtain optimum performance and listening enjoyment from your new po wered subwoofer .

En- 2 Precautions 1. Recording Cop yright Unless it’ s for personal use only , recording copyrighted material is illegal without the permission of the cop y- right holder . 2. A C Fuse The AC fuse inside the SL-107 is not user -serviceable. If you cannot turn on the SL-107, contact your Onkyo dealer .
En- 3 Features • This subwoof er system is equipped with a built-in amplifier solel y for the repr oduction of the superbass range . • With the built-in left-right mixing cir cuit and cut-off filter , y ou can simply connect the unit to your e xisting system to enjoy po werful bass reproduction.
En- 4 Contr ols 1 Standby/On indicator (ST ANDBY/ON) This indicator lights up when the power switch is set to the ON position. Red: The unit is in Standby mode Green: The unit is in Operational mode If the power is turned on, the SL-107 automatically enters Operational mode when a signal is input.
En- 5 Connections F or safety considerations, turn of f the po wer to this unit and all other system components before you connect or disconnect any component.
En- 6 Connections —Continued Connecting to speaker terminals on an amplifier (or receiver) 1. Using the speaker cables, connect the SL-107 SPEAKER LEVEL INPUT terminals to the ampli- fier’ s speaker terminals. 2. Using the speaker cables, connect the right and left speakers to the SL-107 SPEAKER LEVEL OUT - PUT terminals.
En- 7 Subw oofer eff ects Adding a subwoofer to your speaker system e xpands the bandwidth of the bass range. Howe v er , if the sub- woofer’ s reproduction bandwidth or sound output level is improperly adjusted, the ov erall performance may decrease, as shown in the graphs belo w .
En- 8 Tr oubleshooting The unit does not turn on • The power plug is not fully inserted. ➞ Insert the power plug fully into the po wer outlet. No sound is output • The OUTPUT LEVEL knob is set to the MIN lev el. ➞ Set the OUTPUT LEVEL knob properly .
