En- 14 Basic Operation Buttons on the top panel ca n be operated via the touch screen. T o turn on the ABX-N300, press the [ ] b utton on the ABX-N300 or remote controller . The power will tur n on, and the downlight located in the lower part of the ABX- N300 will illuminate.
En- 15 Basic Operation —Continued Note: T one adjustments (Bass, T reb le, S.Bass) do not affect the headphones. 1 Press the [T ONE] button to make the display indicate “T one Control. ” The value of the Bass setting will blink. 2 Use the [ ]/[ ] buttons to adjust the v alue .
En- 16 Pla ying Y our iP od/iPhone Notes: • Before using your iPod/iPhone with the ABX-N300, be sure to update your iP od/iPhone with the latest software, a v ailable from the Apple website. • If you leav e your iPod/iPhone paused when using it on its ow n, ev entually it will go into hibernation.

En- 18 Listening to Internet Radio The ABX-N300 supports vT uner Internet Radio. Caution In order to listen to Internet radio, the ABX-N300 must be connected to a network. For details on connecting to a network, refer to “Network Setup” (see page 26).

En- 22 Rocketboost™ (North American models only) —Contin ued Initial Rock etboost Setup Insert the WLC-TR1 into the Rocketboost Module Slot on the back of the ABX-N300. Note: The ABX-N300 must be in standby mode when you attach the Rocketboost W irele ss Card (WLC-TR1, sold separately).
En- 23 Setting the Cloc k (remote controller only) 1 While the ABX-N300 is in standby mode, press the [TIMER] b utton. If the ABX-N300 is powered-on, press the [ ] button to enter standby mode. 2 Use the [ ]/[ ] buttons to select “Cloc k Setup.
En- 24 Using the Timer s (remote controller only) The ABX-N300 provides three dif ferent timers: tw o program timers that can automatically play your iPod /iPhone at the specif ied time, and a sleep timer that can put the unit in standby mode after the speci fied duration has elapsed.

En- 26 Netw ork Setup In order to use the media serv er function (playing back music f iles sav ed on a comput er), AirPlay , or Internet radio, the ABX-N300 must be connected to a network. The ABX-N300 can connect to the network in either of two w a ys: wirelessly or by a cable.
En- 27 Network Setup —Cont inued Caution • Y ou’ll use the remote cont roller to perform these operations. • Network settings are made while the ABX-N300 is in standby mode. If the ABX-N300 is po wered-on, press the [ ] b utton to put it in standby mode.
En- 28 Netw ork Setup —Continu ed 6 Use the [ ]/[ ] buttons to select “Wireless, ” and press the [ENTER] b utton. The ABX-N300 will search for wireless LAN access points, a nd will display the a ccess points it finds. Note: If an Ethernet ca ble is connected, you won’t be able to select “W ireless.

En- 30 Netw ork Setup —Continu ed 12 Specify the “Pro xy Enable” setting, and press the [ENTER] b utton. Use the [ ]/[ ] buttons to select “No” or “Y es. ” Choose “No” if you are not using a proxy server . If you are using a proxy serv er , choose “Y es, ” and then enter the Proxy URL.

En- 32 About Internet Radio and Media Servers Internet radio refers to radio broadcas ts that are distribu ted via the Internet . Numerous Internet radio stations from around the world are being broadcast. The ABX-N300 supports vT uner Internet Radio.
En- 33 T r oubleshooting If you experience any problem while using the ABX-N300, look for a solution in this section. Can’t turn on the ABX-N3 00. • Make sure that the A C adapter is properly plugged into the wall outlet, and th at the DC IN connection has been made correctly (see page 13).
En- 34 T roub leshooting —Continued • T o operate your iPod/iPhone using th e remote controller , point the remote controller to ward the ABX-N300’ s remote control sensor (see page 8). Can’t rechar ge the iP od/iPhone. • Mak e sure your iPod/iPhone is properly seated in the ABX-N300 ’ s iPod dock.
