En- 7 Connections About Connections • Before making any connections, read the manuals supplied with your other components. • Don’t co nnect the A C adapter until you’ v e completed and double-checked all connections.
En- 8 Basic Operation T o turn on the ABX-100, press the [ ON/ST ANDBY] button on the ABX-100 or remote controller . Press the [ ON/ST ANDBY] button again to set the ABX-100 to Standby . If an iPod/iPho ne is connected to the ABX-100, the iPod/ iPhone will be charged.
En- 9 Basic Operation —Continued T o turn on Super Bass, press the [S.BASS] b utton. The “S.BASS” indication appears on the display . The strength of the ultra-low range will change each time you press the [S.BASS] b utton. The “S.B ASS” indicati on will disappear when this setting is of f.
En- 10 Pla ying Y our iP od/iPhone —Continued 3 Press the Play/P ause [ / ] b utton. Playback starts. Note: • The v olume le vel i s adjusted by using th e V OL [ ]/ [ ] b uttons on the ABX- 100 or its remote controller . Adjusting the v olume on your iPod/iPhone has no effect.
En- 11 Setting the Cloc k (b y remote controller only) Note: • Clock settings can be ma de only while the ABX-100 is in standby mode. If the ABX-100 is po wered-on, press the [ ] b utton to put the unit in standby mode. 1 Press the [TIMER] bu tton.
En- 12 Using the Timer s (by remote controller only) The ABX-100 has three timers: tw o programmable timers for automated playbac k, and a sleep timer for turning the ABX-100 off after a specif ied period. The vario us settings for the two programmable timers are explained here.
En- 13 Using the Timers (b y remote contr oller only) —C ontinued 9 Use the [ ]/[ ] buttons to specify the ABX-100’ s v olume le vel, and then press the [ENTER] button. The timer symbol and numbe r will appear in the upper right of the display; this display will disappear after a few second s.
En- 14 Other Settings (Reset Procedure) When the AB X-100 is in St andby mode, pr essing the remote’ s [MENU] b utton w ill display the follo wing items. The av aila ble settings for each item are sho wn belo w . (The default setting is underlined.) “12/24H Format” 12H 24H Switches the time format between 12-hour and 24-hour .
En- 15 T r oubleshooting —Contin ued There’ s no sound. • Make sure your iPod/iPhone is properly seated in the ABX-100’ s iPod d ock. Even very thin iPo d/iPhone cases can pre vent the iP od/iPhone from seating properly on the dock connector , so al ways remov e any case before inserting your iPod/iPhone (see page 7).
