Eee Box PC 15 P ositioning y our Eee Bo x PC Installing the stand Erect your Eee Box PC with the supplied stand . T o do so: 1. Locate the scr ew hole on the bottom of the Eee Box PC. 2. Align the stand screw to the PC screw hole , and then secure the stand to the PC with a coin.
16 Eee Box PC Installing y our Eee Bo x PC to a monitor Y ou can also install your Eee Bo x PC to the back of a monitor . T o do so: 1. Secure the metal shelf (optional accessory) to your monitor with four screws . T o fasten the metal shelf , your monitor must comply with VESA75 or VESA100 standard .
Eee Box PC 17 Setting up y our Eee Bo x PC Y ou need to connect peripherals before using y our Eee Box PC. Connecting to a display Connect one end of a DVI cable to the display ( 1 ) and the other end to the DVI port on the system rear panel ( 2 ).
18 Eee Box PC Connecting to a netw or k device Connect one end of a network cable to the LAN por t on the system rear panel and the other end to a hub or switch.
Eee Box PC 19 Using y our Eee Bo x PC Conguring wireless connection T o connect to a wireless network, follow the instructions below: Connect the supplied wireless antenna to y our Eee Box PC to enhance wireless signal reception.
20 Eee Box PC Conguring wired connection T o establish a wired network, follow the instructions below: Using a sta tic IP 3. Hightlight Int ernet Prot ocol ( TCP/IP) and click Properties . 2. Right-click Local Area Connection and select Properties .
Eee Box PC 21 4. Select Use the following IP address . 5. Enter your IP addr ess , Subnet mask and Default gatew ay . 6. If needed, enter the Pref erred DNS server address. 7. After entering all of the related v alues, click OK to finish the configuration.
22 Eee Box PC 4. Click Next . 5. Select Connect to the Internet and click Ne xt . 6. Select S et up my connection manually . 7. Select your connection type and click Next . 8. Enter your ISP Name and click Next . 9. Enter your U ser name and P assword .

24 Eee Box PC ASUS Easy Update ASUS Easy Update is a software tool that automa tically detects and downloads the latest BIOS, drivers, and applications for your Eee Box PC. 2. Select Schedule to set how often you want to updat e your system. 3. Select Update to activate the update.
Eee Box PC 25 Eee Bo x Express Gate Eee Box Express Gat e is an instant-on envir onment that gives y ou quick access to web , Sk ype, and your photo albums. A few seconds after turning on your Eee Box PC, you will be at the Express Gate menu where you can start the web browser , Sk ype, or other Express Gate applications.
