10 1.0. Using the NV-RVSA T Site Analysis T ool The Site Analysis T ool is an essential test prior to installing the Renovia System. A ll outlets and the related cir cuits for each zone should be tested . T his will insure that the system will opera te properly and tha t existing wiring will not cause signal loss.

13 4. If a highly desirable outlet tests P oor or Marginal, look again for possible unfilter ed Interference sour ces. They are normally on the same cir cuit, but may be in other rooms . Unplug the suspect device, run the test , and if the test r esult improv es, add an NV-HPNF filter and t est again.
14 2.0. Installing the In-wall NV-RVM R enovia Main Source Hub and Audio Sources The Renovia Main Sour ce Hub is the centr al source input for all sources associa ted with the Renovia System. This should be locat ed in an audio closet, rack or en tertainment center , where the system sources can be easily a ttached.
15 TM 2.2.2 Adding the NV-SCH1 or other Sirius Connect tuner devices NuV o offers a SIRIUS Satellite Radio receiv er module, NV-SCH1, produced b y a third-party manufac turer for SIRIUS Radio use. T his module comes with a standard 8-pin cable that supplies both the audio and metadata associated with sa tellite radio br oadcast.
16 2.2.3 Including the NV-RVIPD NuV oDock Renovia featur es Source 3 and 4 inputs for the Renovia NuV oDock for iP od. This is an easy w ay to inc orporate iP od as a source f or the Renovia System. Plugging the included 9-pin cable into the NuV oDock and into the desired sour ce input 3 or 4, as shown in Fig .
3.0. Installing the NV-RVZA50 Zone Amplifier and the NV-RVZA50PS Po wer Supply The Renovia P ower Supply is to be installed by a certified electrician only. Choosing the Best Location for the NV-RVZA50 Any r oom outlet can be used as a location for the Z one Amplifier and P ow er Supply .

An inset plug on the P ower Supply will mate with a plug on the Z one Amplifier . Once in place , secure the Z one Amplifier to the Pow er Supply with four screws and install the finished co ver pla te. This is held in place with four magnets and a single set scr ew on the bottom.
20 Line Input The NV -RVFZ A50S has a built-in “Line Input” on the back panel. This is a very useful feature for allo wing the internal 50W z one amplifier to amplify any local sour ce to the attached zone speak ers, as shown in fig . 20. This is a “ smar t” input and will recogniz e a 3.

25 6.2.6 IR Librar y T est (as shown in Fig . 30) An impor tant f eatur e of the Renovia C onfigurator is the ability to test each IR code as it is added to the IR Libr ar y .
26 6.3. Sources T ab (as shown in Fig . 32) The “Sources” tab allows you to define the sour ce component attached to each of the six sour ce inputs.
27 6.3.2 Adding a NuV oNet Source (as shown in Fig. 34) NuV oNet sources can be placed in the C onfiguration with the same procedur e as third par ty IR contr ollable equipment. The Configura tor program c ontains IR libraries for each of the NuV oNet components which hav e the appropria te button functions preassigned .

29 6.4.3 Control Macros An additional option within the Macro tab is the ability to establish multiple contr ol macros . T hese macros are int ended for instant access to c ontr ol functions, and are an optional fea ture .

Other zones will hav e the ability to listen to tha t source , but they will not have any specific function control . Disable IR: This choice disables IR communication with the Main Source Hub .

32 6.6.2 External Mute: P aging T rigger The Renovia S ystem has a built-in solution for whole -house paging , typically through a phone system. The P aging T rigger setting causes the system to mute acr oss all the zones, and in turn, amplifies the page across all z ones.
33 6.7. Update S ystem The finished configur ation is now r eady to be downloaded to the Renovia Main Source Hub . C onnect your computer to the USB input on the face of the Main Source Hub and click on the Upda te Renovia button. While downloading , a progress bo x will show the download process .

36 7.4 Renovia T uner Control Contr ol of Renovia’ s internal tuners (sour ces 1 and 2) default to the buttons of the C ontr ol P ads, unless those sour ces are ov erridden in the Configura tor software. These functions are consist ent with the NV - E6GCP , NV-I8GCP , and NV- WCP C ontrol P ads.
37 8.0. Using the Contr ol Pad' s MENU Button Menu gives acc ess to specific music selection and contr ol for each source , as well as zone and system setting capability . The menu functions defined by NuV oNet change with the selec ted sour ce. The selections and control ar e consistent with all the C ontrol P ad choices for Renovia.
