2 Programmin g memor y buttons The def ault f or KIM memory butt ons is b lank. Y ou can progr am memor y b uttons on the KIM to y our personal pre f erence with internal and ex ternal autodial numbers or f eatures to giv e you touch diali ng or f eature act i va ti on.
3 Button labels Use the f our but ton label strips on the KIM to show what is progr ammed on the b uttons . Spare button label st r ips are pro vided with your KIM. Use the t hree b ut ton l abel st rips on the T7316E tel ephone to sho w what i s progr ammed on the b utt ons.
4 Monitoring telephones in your system It i s impor tant that yo u pa y attention to the di ff erent types of indicato rs beside the int ernal autodial b uttons on y our KIM. This tells y ou the status of a t elephone e xtension when y ou ans wer an e xter nal call.
5 KIM coldstar ts When a coldstar t is perf or med internal autodial number s are assigned in ascending orde r star ting on the top left b utton (b utto n 01) on the KIM. Y ou can coldstar t one KIM on y our CAP or all KIMs on your CAP depend- ing on your pr ef erence.
