2 Programmin g memor y buttons The def ault f or KI M memor y bu ttons is b lank. Y ou can pr ogr am memor y b uttons on the KIM to y our personal pre f er ence with inter nal and e xter nal autodi al numbers or f eatures to giv e you touch diali ng or f eature act iv ation.
3 Button labels Use t he f our b utton label str ips on the KIM t o sho w what is prog rammed on the buttons . Spare butt on label strips are pr o vided with y our KIM. Use t he three b ut ton label strips on the T7316E telephone to sho w what is prog r ammed on the b u tt ons.
4 Monitorin g telephones in your s ystem It i s impor tant t hat y ou pa y attenti on to the diff erent types of indicato rs besi de the int er nal autodi al b ut tons on your KIM. This tell s y ou the status of a telephone e xtension when y ou a nsw er an e xternal call.
5 KIM coldstar ts When a coldstar t is perf or med inter nal aut odia l numbers are assigned in ascendi ng orde r star ting on the top left b utton (b utton 01) on the KIM. Y ou can coldstar t one KIM on your CAP or all KIMs on y our CAP depend- ing on y our pref erence.
