Introd uction 5 1. Introduction The Nokia Bluetooth Headset BH- 800 allows you freedom to make and receive calls while on the move or in the office. You can connect the headset to a compatible phone th at supports Bluetooth wireless technology. Read this user guide carefully before using the headset.
Introd uction 6 The headset is compliant with the Bluetooth Specification 2.0 + EDR supporting the following profiles: Headset Profile 1.1 and Hands-Free Profile 1.5. Check with the manufactu rers of other devices to determine their compatibility with this device.
Get started 7 2. Get started ■ Overview The headset contains the following parts: • Indicator light (1) • P ower key (2) • Answer/end key (3) • V olume key (4) • Strap catch (5) • Charge.

Get started 11 • Ensure that the Bluetooth feature is activated on your phone. • Check that the headset is within 1 0 meters (30 feet) of your phone and that there are no obstructions be tween the headset and the phone, such as walls or othe r electronic devices.
Basic use 12 3. Basic use ■ Place the headset over your ear The headset is provided with an ear loop that you can use for a better fit on your ear . To use the headset without the earloop, plug the headset into your ear (1), and point the headset toward your mouth.
Basic use 13 To detach the earloop (for example, to clean it), gently pull it from the headset. ■ Carry the headset in the strap The headset is supplied with a strap. When you do not keep the headset on your ear , you can wear it on yo ur neck using the strap.
Basic use 14 ■ Store the headset in the pouch To avoid the headset from being scra tched, store the headset and the strap in the supplied pouch when you do not use them. The pouch has two compartments. Store the headset in one compartment and the strap in the other .
Basic use 15 ■ Adjust the earphone volume Press the volume key up to increase or down to decrease the volume during a call. To adjust the volume quickly , press and hold the key in the desired direction. ■ Mute or unmute the microphone To mute or unmute the microphone du ring a call, briefly press the middle of the volume key .
Basic use 16 ■ Clear the settings If you want to clear all the settings from the headset (for example, the list of paired devices), press and hold the power key and the volume key up for 1 0 seconds. After the settings are cl eared, the headset beeps twic e, and the indicator lights alternate for several seconds.

T he full performance of a new battery is achieved only after two or th ree complete charge and discharge cycles. The battery can be charged and discharged hu ndreds of times, but it will eventually wear out.
