Getting starte d ■ Installing the SIM card and the battery • Keep all miniature SIM cards out of the reach of small children. • The SIM card and its contacts can easily be damaged by scratches or bending, so be careful when handling, inserting or removing the card.

The default maximum length of a video clip is 15 seconds. You can change this time using the Video clip length setting in the Camera menu.

The messages are organised into folders. Text and picture messages (SMS) Your phone supports the sending of text messages beyond the 160 characters limit (network service).

For example, 10/ 2 means that you can still add 10 characters for the text to be sent as two messages. Using special (Unicode) characters such as ë or á takes up more space.

Writing and sendin g a multimedia message Before you can use the multimedia messa ging service, you need to define its settings, see page 73 . Folders for multimedia messages The phone has different folders for saving received and sent multimedia messages.

Voice messages Voice mailbox is a network service and you ma y need to subscribe to it first before you can use it.
