15 [ 64 ] 15 Send and receive mobile messages When you have mobile (text) mess aging service, you can receive messages on the screen and send messages to e-mail addresses and phone numbers. Note: Before you send or r eceive mobile messages, you may nee d to subscribe to the m essaging service offered by your serv ice provider .

15 [ 66 ] Change the text input method To switch (toggle) between predictive and traditional text input modes while you are editing a message, press the P ound key several times until the icon indicates the mode you want to use. You must activate predictive text before you will be able to toggle between the two modes.
[ 67 ] Send and receive mobile messages 15 Activate predictive text mode Predictive text mode is active wh en the predictive text icon ( ) is present at the top of the screen. If the icon does not appear , predictive text mode has been deactivated. To activate the predictive text mode while editing a message: 1 Press Opt ions .
15 [ 68 ] Change the dictionary language Y ou can change the dictionary language while you are edi ting a message: 1 While editing a message, press Op tions . 2 Scroll to Predictiv e text , then press Sel ect . 3 Scroll to a language, then press OK . The selected language is active.
[ 69 ] Send and receive mobile messages 15 Deleting characters When you n eed to delete chara cters use one o f these methods: • To delete one character to the left of the cursor , press Cl ear . • To delete all characters in the message, press and hold Cl ear .

Call me at [ ]. <phone number/time/place> 2. I’ll call yo u at [ ]. <time/place> Brackets ( [ ] ) in a templa te represent a value that you can specif y .
[ 7 1 ] Send and receive mobile messages 15 • MESSAGE OPTIONS While reading a message, you have several options. Some of these options may not be available for some types of m ess ages: Erase deletes the message. Press OK to confirm the deletion or Clear to cancel.
15 [ 72 ] • Inbox : All messages that you r eceived and have n ot erased or saved. • Outbox : Messages that you s ent or created and saved to send later .
[ 73 ] Send and receive mobile messages 15 Notes about addresses • Yo u c a n a d d r e s s a t e x t m e s s a g e t o a s m a n y a s 1 0 e - m a i l a d d r e s s e s , p h o n e numbers, or a combination of both. To see a list of all recipient s to whom your message is addressed, scroll to List r ecipients, then press Select .
15 [ 74 ] • Deliver y note : When the recipie nt receives your messag e, the netw ork will send you a delivery note. I f you address the message to more than one recipient, you will receive a separate delivery note for each recipient. • Callback no .

For information about types of messages, see “Send and receive e-mail messages” on page 78 . Press Menu 0 > 1 > 1 > 1 ( Messages > T ext messag es > Write new ).
15 [ 76 ] • Before you resend your mes sage, you can edit it. Y ou can also edit the recipients list ( Add e- mail , Add number , or Lis t recipients ). •S e t t i n g s ( Urgency , Deli very note , and Callback no. ) for the me ss age are kept un less you edit them ( Optio ns > Settin gs ).
[ 77 ] Send and receive mobile messages 15 2 Scroll to the message, press Read, and then press Option s . 3 Scroll to Rep ly (or R eply w/ copy if you want to include a copy of the original message in y our reply). If you reply with copy , your message could be long.
