1 1. OVERVIEW The night vision NV S 4 is aiming optical-electronic weapon scope, intende d for shooting g un with the side mount at night time or dark co nditions. The unit utilizes a generation 2+ or better image intensifier tube, which amplifies available moonlight, starlight or man- made light.
2 Precautions NVS 4 is a sophisticated pr ecise optical instrum ent equipped wit h electronics. Therefore, it shoul d be handled with due care. • Keep your device away from direct sunli ght, impacts, dust, m oisture, and sudden change s of temperatures.

7 5. OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS The scope is mounted on a weap on by means of clamp, which consists of bracket 16 (Fig.1, 2), lock screw 2, latch 13, lock lever 14, ha ndle 15 and washer 11.
8 - remove the co ver 8 and insert the battery as sho wn on the cover of scope; - screw up the cove r 8; - turn on the switch 7. In 3-4 seconds the eyepiece fiel d of view should begin to gleam with y.
9 Note: If zeroi ng range is different, the value of clic k changes proportionall y, for exam ple: - at range 50 m - 1.5 cm ; - at range 200 m - 6.0 cm. Example: O n the Fig.3 t he mean poi nt of impact is located above the aiming point by 15 cm and at the left by 20 cm.
10 6. MAINTENANCE The device should be ke pt clean avoidin g dust and dirt. The outer surfaces of the optical parts should be clean always. WARNING: It is prohibited: - to disassembl e the scope; - to.
11 7. STORAGE The scope must be pre vented against mechanical dam ages. The scope is to be stored in a heated room . Ambient temperature must be within the limits from 5 to 35°C. Relative humidity must not exceed 85%. It is recommended to keep the scope in its caring case without a battery inserted.
12 8. TROUBLESHOOTING The device does not work . Check that the battery is installed properly. Check the charge of the batteries. Replace if it is weak. The image is degraded and blurred. Clean the lens with napkin. If the inner optics suffe rs from exte nded humi dity send the sc ope to the manufacture r for drying and sealing.
13 Condensation accumulate s on the parts. It is O.K. to use the unit in cold. However, when the unit is brought from the cold into a warm environment, it has to warm up for up to 2 hours (not minutes!). Only then it is allowed to turn it ON again. Visibility decreases and / or disa ppears.
14 9. WARRANTY NEWCON warrants this product against defects in material and workmanship for one year from the date of the original purchase, but no more than 18 months f rom the date of manufacturi ng. Longer wa rranty is available , subject to the terms of the specific sales c ontract.
