5 Fig. 1). Due to the objective lens, the image at this point is turned upside down. However, as the im a ge passes through the prism system, (known as the erective prisms) (2, Fig. 1) it becom es right side up (erect) and c hanged from right to left, to left to right.

8 6. OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS 6.1 Interpupillary distance adjustment Prior to use you may like to adjust the binoculars to the distance between your eyes (interpupillary distance). Holding the bino culars in both hands rotate its h alves until you see one round image.

10 When the angle between two targets is larger than the angle measuring range (100 m ils), it can be measured in several steps. 12 6.5 Using the reticle to calcul ate distance To determine the distance to the target use the form ula: D = H/K, wher e D – distance to target i n km, H – estimated height of t he target in m, K – vertical angle of the target in mil.

15 7. STORAGE AN D MAINTENANCE The binoculars are precision optical instruments that should be carefully hand led and properly maintained to keep them in a good worki ng order. Clean the lenses after each use with special optical cloth. Never wipe the lenses wi th fingers; grease may dam age the optics coating.
