NTI NODEMUX SERIES UNIVERSAL KVM SWITCH 18 Note: After configuring an NODEMUX as a slave unit, when the power is cycled th e slave NODEMUX will only be controllable throu gh th e master NODEMUX it is connected to . Direct OSD menu control of th e slave u nit will no longer be possible.
NTI NODEMUX SERIES UNIVERSAL KVM SWITCH 19 User Name List The User Name List displays the l ist of users an d provi des c ontrol for adding new users, changing or assig ning user passwords, and changing access rights for any giv en user. User names may be up to 12 charact ers long, may not contain spaces, and are not case sensitive.
NTI NODEMUX SERIES UNIVERSAL KVM SWITCH 20 The On Screen Display menu will automatic ally appear on the mo nitor in additi on to il luminating the indicator LEDs on the KVM switch. This provides a visual way to control the NODEM UX using the keyb oard, monitor, and mouse.
NTI NODEMUX SERIES UNIVERSAL KVM SWITCH 21 Command Mode (Cont’d) Function: Keystroke: Sets scan time-out on each port Selects a specific port Selects the first port on the switch Selects the last port on the switch Enters Search Mode and adds a character to search string and selects the CPU’s name that matches best.
NTI NODEMUX SERIES UNIVERSAL KVM SWITCH 22 FYI: If switches are casc ad ed (such as that illustrated in Fig. 14 on page 10), it w ill be n ecessa r y to make note of which port each CPU is connected to on each sl ave KVM switch and which port each slav e KVM switch is connected to on the master KVM switch .

NTI NODEMUX SERIES UNIVERSAL KVM SWITCH 33 Keyboard Replacement Should it be necessary to replac e the ke yboard of one platform wi th a keyboa rd of a differ ent platform, the dip-switches will n eed to be re-configured accordingly. To do this; 1. Power-down the ST- x U by following the proper po wer-down sequence.
NTI NODEMUX SERIES UNIVERSAL KVM SWITCH 34 For models ST- x U (no OSD): 1. Make sure the ST- x U is completely disconnected from a ll CPU components. Be sure to unplug the ST- x U from the electrical outlet. 2. Remove the two philips-head screws from the underside of the ST- x U and set the ST - x U on a firm and flat surface, bottom down (see Fig.
NTI NODEMUX SERIES UNIVERSAL KVM SWITCH 35 6. Carefully loosen the video board from t he standoffs. With it loosened, grasp firmly the video board and fro nt panel at the same time and slide the front panel up out of the slots in the plastic case that support it.
