en 3 enTable of Contents enInstruction for Use Safety and warning information Before y ou switch ON the appliance Please read the operating and installa- tion instructions carefully! They contain important information on how to install, use and maintain the appliance.
en 4 Impor tant information when using the appliance ■ Never use electrical appliances inside the appliance (e.g. heater, electric ice maker, etc.). Risk of explosion! ■ Never use a steam cleaner to defrost or clean the appliance! The steam may penetrate electrical parts and cause a short-circuit.
en 5 General regulations The appliance is suitable ■ for refrigerating and freezing food, ■ for making ice. This appliance is intended for use in the home and the home environment. The appliance is suppressed according to EU Directive 2004/108/EC.
en 6 Scope of deliv er y After unpacking all parts, check for any damage in transit. If you have any complaints, please con- tact the dealer from whom you pur- chased the appliance or our customer service.
en 7 To switch on, press the room temperature switch, Fig. " /B. Red mark becomes visible. The light inside the appliance is lit at a reduced luminosity. To save energy, switch off the room temperature switch as soon as the room temperature exceeds +16 °C.

en 9 We recommend: ■ Perishable food should not be stored above +4 °C. ■ Low setting for short-term storage of food (energy-saving mode). ■ Medium setting for long-term storage of food. ■ Select a higher setting only temporar- ily, when the door is frequently opened or large quantities are placed in the refrigerator compartment.
en 10 Note the chill zones in the refrigerator compartment The air circulation in the refrigerator compartment creates different chill zones: ■ Coldest zone is in the pull-out container. Fig. # Not e Store perishable food (e.g. fish, sausage, meat) in the coldest zone.
en 11 Not e Keep food which is to be frozen away from food which is already frozen. ■ The following foods are suitable for freezing: Cakes and pastries, fish and seafood, meat, game, poultry, vegeta.
en 12 Thawing frozen f ood Depending on the type and application, select one of the following options: ■ at room temperature ■ in the refrigerator ■ in an electric oven, with/without fan assisted hot-air ■ in the microwave m Caution Do not refreeze thawing or thawed food.
en 13 Stick er “OK” (not all models) The “OK” temperature monitor can be used to determine temperatures below +4 °C. Gradually reduce the temperature if the sticker does not indicate “OK”. Not e When the appliance is switched on, it may take 12 hours until the temperature is reached.
en 14 m Caution Do not scrape off hoarfrost or ice with a knife or pointed object. You could damage the refrigerant tubes. Leaking refrigerant may ignite or cause eye injuries.

en 16 Operating noises Quite normal noises Droning Motors are running (e.g. refrigerating units, fan). Bubbling, humming or gurgling noises Refrigerant is flowing through the tubing. Clicking Motor, switches or solenoid valves are switching on/off. Prev enting noises The appliance is not level Please align the appliance with a spirit level.
en 17 Fault Possible cause Remedial action Floor of the refrigerator compartment is wet. The condensation channels or drainage hole are blocked. Clean the condensation channels and the drainage hole.
