Howev er , since the machine is fitted with a pull-latch, splashing may occur if the door is opened too quick l y . Ther efore, unlatch the door carefully and w ait until the spray ar ms hav e stopped rotating before ope- ning fully .

10 Place larger plates , dishes , pots , sauce pans and cutler y (in the cutler y basket) in the lo wer basket. The detachable plate rack that is supp- lied with some models can easily be lifted out to provide space f or big plates , sauce pans and pots , or be fitted in one of the three different posi- tions.
11 2. Intensive wash Use the Intensive w ash programme for heavily soiled ware, such as pots and pans , and gr atin for ms . T he dishwasher can suitably be loaded with other items if not completely filled. 3. Normal wash Use this prog ramme for nor mal washing .

13 OPTIONS DR YING HEA T If you select unheated dr ying, the dishes will dr y a little more slowly . Y ou can speed up dr ying by opening the door ajar to allow the moist air to escape. TEMPERA TURE OPTION Y ou can select the temperature in any prog ram- me.
14 ECO W ASH W ASH ONL Y WHEN FULL Sav e energ y by not r unning the mac hine until it is completely full. W ASH A T LOWER TEMPERA TURE If dishware is only lightly soiled y ou can suita- bly reduce the temperature for Intensi ve and Nor mal wash to 55°C.
15 F or a variety of reasons , some articles are unsu- itable for mac hine washing . Some materials can- not withstand high temperature, other s can be damaged by dishwasher detergents . SENSITIVE DECORA TION China that has “on-glaze“ decoration (feels a litt- le rough) should not be machine washed.
16 CLEANING CLEANING The inside of the machine is made of stainless steel, which is k ept c lean by nor mal use. Ho we- v er, deposits of lime can be for med inside the mac hine if the water is hard. If this happens , r un a Nor mal wash programme with tw o table- spoonful of citric acid in the deterg ent compar t- ment.
17 Don ’ t forget to fit the adapting piece . Spray arms Spray-arm jets and bearings may sometimes be- come clog ged. Screw off the nut and take off the washer on top of the spray arm and lift off the ar m. P oke out any obstr uctions with a ske- w er or other suitable pointed tool.
18 TOPPING UP WITH RINSE AID Dr ying will be faster if you use rinse aid. T he rinse-aid indicating lamp on the panel will light when the rinse-aid container becomes empty .* There is also an indicator on the dispenser. See the figure . T here is suf ficient rinse aid av ailable if the indica tor is completely black.
19 SAL T the filler hole. P our in about one litre of water and then enough salt to fill the container , max. 1.5 kg . Wipe aw ay any spilled salt, so that the lid will seal properly , and screw on the lid fir mly . R un a complete pr ogramme to ensur e that any remaining salt is rinsed awa y .
20 TROUBLE SHOOTING - DISHW ASHING RESUL TS F AUL T - POOR W ASHING PERFORMANCE Possible causes 1. Rota tion of spray ar ms prev ented by protr uding object. Check also that jets in the spra y ar ms are not clogged. 2. Spray ar ms slowed do wn by impurities in the bearings .
21 Still not clean after testing with citric acid? • The cause is pr obably temperature that is too high and/or too much deter g ent. T his type of film, or etching, cannot be remedied, only pre vented. W ash glasses at low temperature and dispense the amount deterg ent with care, and av oid heated dr ying.
