English-5 English Image P ersistence: When a residual or “ghost” image of a previous image remains visible on the screen, this is called image persistence. Unlike CRT monitors, LCD monitors’ image persistence is not permanent, but constant images being displayed for a long period of time should be avoided.

English-12 Contr ols OSD (On-Screen Displa y) contr ol buttons on the fr ont of the monitor function as f ollows: T o access the OSD menu, press the MENU button. The Key Guide appears pressing any button when not in the OSD control menu. NO TE: The OSD must be closed in order to change the signal input.
English-13 English SETTING OSD LANGU A GE • Set the OSD language before using OSD functions. • Use the control keys (LEFT/RIGHT or UP/DOWN or EXIT) to access the “LANGUAGE SELECTION” menu. • Press the LEFT/RIGHT or UP/DOWN buttons to select the desired OSD language.
English-14 A UT O FINE (Analog input only) This function automatically and periodically adjusts the “FINE” setting for change in signal condition. This function adjusts approximately every 33 minutes. EXP ANSION Sets the zoom method. FULL: The image is expanded to full screen regardless of the resolution.
English-15 English VIDEO DETECT Selects the video detection method, when more than one video signal source is connected. FIRST : When current video input signal is not present, then the monitor searches for a video signal from a dif ferent video source.
English-16 OSD COLOR Adjusts the color of the OSD Menu. “T ag window frame color”, “Item select color” and “Adjust window frame color” can be changed to Red, Green, Blue, or Gray .
English-17 English Using the PICTURE MODE function Choose the Picture mode which is the most suitable for the type of displayed content. These are the available modes: MEDICAL, Gamma 2.2 and PROGRAMMABLE1. • Each PICTURE MODE includes PRESET , LUMINANCE, WHITE, Color Gamut (RED, GREEN, BLUE), GAMMA, BLACK, UNIFORMITY , AMB.
English-18 Quic k screen QA test function Allows the monitor to display an internal test pattern similar to AAPM TG18-QC, without using an external signal source. A quick overall visual evaluation as well as an inspection of the gray levels according to DICOM is available with this built-in method.
English-19 English Ad v anced OSD <How to use the ad vanced OSD> • When both OSD and Key Guide are off, push the “RESET” and “EXIT” buttons two times simultaneously . • Y ou will see the Advanced OSD. This menu is larger than the normal OSD.
English-20 RED GREEN BLUE Adjusts color gamut. When the selected settings are outside of the LCD gamut, the indicator on the OSD will turn magenta. UNIFORMITY* 1 This function electronically compensates the slight variations in the white uniformity level that may occur across the display area of the screen.
English-21 English LONG CABLE CAP ABILITY (Analog input only) R-H.POSITION: Adjusts the position of the red component of the image. Press “LEFT” or “RIGHT” to adjust. G-H.POSITION: Adjusts the position of the green component of the image. Press “LEFT” or “RIGHT” to adjust.
English-22 T ag5 H.POSITION Controls the Horizontal Image Position within the display area of the LCD. Press “LEFT” or “RIGHT” to adjust. V .POSITION Controls the V ertical Image Position within the display area of the LCD. Press “LEFT” or “RIGHT” to adjust.
English-23 English POWER MANAGEMENT Sets the power saving mode. HUMAN SENSING: HUMAN SENSING has three settings: OFF: No human sensing. DEEP: After it is detected that there is no person, the monitor shifts to power saving mode automatically . When a person comes near the monitor again, it resumes from the power saving mode and displays the images.
English-24 BOOT LOGO The NEC logo is briefl y displayed after the monitor is powered on. This feature can be turned on or off in the OSD. Note: If the “EXIT” button is kept pressed while NEC logo is displayed, the BOOT LOGO menu will appear . It is possible to change the BOOT LOGO setting to OFF .
English-25 English GRA YSCALE MODE This function changes the display image to monochrome. There are 4 types of settings. OFF: The Display Image is COLOR. MODE1: The signal Input is 8 bit monochrome. The display shows a grayscale image. This mode uses only the Green channel of an R/G/B input signal.

English-28 T r oubleshooting No Picture • The signal cable should be completely connected to the display controller/computer . • The display controller should be completely seated in its slot. • The monitor does not support a DisplayPort converter signal.
English-29 English ST AND-ALONE CALIBRA TION Stand alone calibration can recalibrate the display without using a computer by the integrated front sensor or connecting an external sensor .
English-30 Self Calibration Manually adjust the integrated front sensor with an external near range color analyzer reference, which is traceable to a primary standards laboratory .
English-31 English Gamma Adjust By using the integrated front sensor , Gamma Adjust recalibrates the LCD gamma. Gamma Adjust is recommended if MAX GSDF ERROR exceeds the medical standards. All PICTURE MODES are updated when Gamma Adjust is performed. 1.
