The periscope must be installed so that when final grading is completed, the bottom air slot is located a minimum of 12 inches above grade. The maximum allow- able vent length depends on the fireplace, as illustrated.

14 W415-0429 / C / 1 1.04.05 FIGURE 25 The vent system must be supported approximately every 3 feet for both vertical and horizontal runs. Use W olf S teel vent spacers every 3 feet and either side of each elbow to maintain the minimum 1¼" clearance between the outer and inner vent pipes.
15 W415-0429 / C / 1 1.04.05 Proceed once the vent installation is complete. 1. Move the fireplace into position and secure using the nailing tabs and/or secure to the floor through the ¼"diam- eter holes located at either end of the base. 2. Route a 3/8" N.

17 W415-0429 / C / 1 1.04.05 Lift up and remove the upper louvres. Open the valve control door . Release the top and bot- tom door latches, located at the right side of the door . T o close the door, repeat in re- verse order . The door latch holes are elongated for door levelling.
18 W415-0429 / C / 11.04.05 4. Place the bottom of log #6 against the right side of the firebox. The upper branch rests against log #1 . The lower branch rests against the 4th and 5th grate posts. Remove the backing of the logo supplied and place on the glass viewing door, as indicated.
19 W415-0429 / C / 1 1.04.05 FIGURE 46 7. Remove the flame effect panel by removing the 6 screws. 8. Remove the flame generator by sliding to the left and dislodging the neoprene tube from the motor shaft. Next, slide the flame generator to the right to remove the shaft from the nylon bearing.
